![]() ![]() And without another windows xp system i cant access the Iomega drive at all. ![]() The drive is turning, I can feel it when I touch it, and the little LED on it is also on & white (not red, which would indicate it being. I can connect it to my laptop (Windows 8 & 7 & Mac have been tried out) and it is always shown in Disk Utlity/Disk Management (see picture below). The software and drivers on the Iomega drive do not auto install like it did on the Windows XP system. I have a problem with my iOmega Ego external Hard Drive. My Iomega external HDD is connected thru USB, With security encryption. Windows 10 has loaded driver named: 'OEM Ext Hard Disk SCSI Disk Device'. Hard Drive is recognized, but there is no way to display its content (File explorer usually crashes). I have read many posts but could not find a solution. Cannot overwrite IOU/ because it is currently in use ! This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action please install a program lol yet it wont let me install the encryption desktop icon program thats built in to the hard drive to do anything ! not sure what to do still learning windows 8. I upgraded from WindowsXP on a 40gb Hdd to a new 80HDD hard drive Windows7. I have an Iomega Ego RPHD-UG3 1Tb external hard drive which works fine with Windows 7. I just built my very first DIY pc with windows 8.1 I have a old out of warranty Iomega prestige portable external 1tb hard drive that was made to run on xp,vista and 7 that i used for back up on my old vista that passed away !tried my moms old vista just to make sure it still works! it runs great ! Ive tried different compatibility in the trouble shooter with no luck called lenovo no help !? it appears to be running in the back ground processes in the task manager and in devices and drives comes up as cd drive (g:) iomega 0 bytes free of 81.1MB CDFS i cant install run or double click can open and then try but a error pops up and says.
